Navigating Gender-Based Microaggressions: Response, Resistance, Rest, and Resilience in a Shifting Workplace

Description

Women’s History Month reminds us that progress is never automatic—it requires awareness, action, and accountability. While women continue to break barriers across industries, gender-based microaggressions remain a persistent challenge that can derail careers, diminish credibility, and erode leadership opportunities.

These subtle yet damaging behaviors persist, particularly as workplaces grapple with increased scrutiny of inclusion efforts, political divisiveness, and shifting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) priorities.

In today’s climate, where silence for the sake of civility is often prioritized over accountability, knowing how to strategically address bias without jeopardizing professional standing is an essential skill.

This session introduces a four-part framework—Response, Resistance, Rest, and Resilience—designed to equip women with the tools to navigate workplace challenges while maintaining their influence and well-being.

Participants will gain:

  • Tactical approaches to identifying and addressing microaggressions in real-time

  • Methods for engaging allies and shifting responsibility to leadership for meaningful change

  • Energy-preserving strategies to advocate effectively without burnout

By the end of this session, attendees will leave with a clear strategy for navigating bias, strengthening their leadership brand, and advocating effectively—without sacrificing their well-being.

Please Note: This session is also open to allies in training who are committed to leveraging their privilege to support and uplift women in the workplace.
